MEETING OF CITY COUNCTL, July 28, 1941, Ocoee, Florida.
The Council was called to order by Chairman
Bigelow at 7:40 p. M., said meeting being an adjourned meeting
of the regular meeting held July 21, 1941.
Present: Councilmen Bigelow, Argo, Bryan, and
Eckles; absent: Councilman Minor.
Mr. Argo offered a motion to accept the original
and copy of the 1941 tax assessment roll which had been prepared
by the Tax Assessor and offered for equalization at previous
meetings. This motion was duly seconded by Mr. Bryan. After
original and copy of the assessment roll was examined by the
Council'f 1, said motion was dn1y voted upon and carried unani-
mous1y, and a Certificate of Ac~)ptance was signed by all
present, including the Mayor and Clerk.
Mr. Argo then offered an ordinance entitled
11 AN ORDINANCE ASCERTAINING THE AMOUNT NECESSARY TO OPERATE THE
ON
CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE TAX YEAR BEGINNING/NOVEMBER 1,
1940, AND ENDING ON OCTOBER 31, 1941," (Which ordinance if adop-
ted will become City of Ocoee Ordinance No. 54). This proposed
ordinance was then seconded by Mr. Eckles, examined, discussed,
voted upon, and unanimously carried.
Mr. Bryan then offered an ordinance entitled
!tAN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY OF
OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE T.~ YEAR BEGINNING NOVEMBER 1, 1940,
A1\TD ENDING OCTOBER 31, 1941,!t (which ordinance if adopted will
become O-ity of Ocoee Ordinance No. 55). This pr'oposed ordinance
was then seconded by Mr. Eckles, examined, discussed, voted
upon, and unanimously carried.

Mr. Eckles then offered an ordinance entitled
"AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOR
THE TAX YEAR BEGINNING NO\~MBER 1, 1940, AND ENDING OCOTBER 31,
1941," (vlhich ordinance if adopted will become City of Ocoee
Ordinance No. 56). This proposed ordinance was then seconded
by Mr. Argo, examined, discussed, voted upon, and unanimously
carried.
Mr. Bryan then offered an ordinance entitled

"AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AND ALLOCATING ALL REVENUE Ai'll)
FUNDS OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE TAX YEAR BEGINNING
ON NOVEMBER 1, 1940, AND ENDING ON OCTOBER 31, 1941," (which
ordinance if adopted will become City of Ocoee Ordinance No. 57).
This proposed ordinance was then seconded by Mr. Eckles, examined,
discussed, voted upon, and unanimously carried.
Mr. Eckles moved that the two walls of the sewing
room supply room be stored in the room at the fire house, and
that the Marshal be instructed to secure a man to move and store
the property. This motion was seconded by Mr. Argo, voted upon
and duly carried, and the Marshal was instructed to secure a
man to do the work.

Mr. Eckles moved that the glass in the door of
the Community Clinic be repai~~ at a cost not to exceed $8.00
and secure credit for the salvage. This motion was duly seconded
by Mr. Argo, voted upon and carried.
Mr. Argo moved that the brick wall in the Post
Office be taken down for the new Post Office' 'boxes' 'in accordance
with suggestions submitted by the Post Master. This motion was
seconded by Mr. Bryan, duly voted upon, and carried.

Mr. Bigelow reports upon the chairs which have
been used in Ocoee by the County Health Unit, stating that the
City Oouncil has no interest in said chairs, the same having
been given by the Oounty Oommissioners to Mrs. Boggan for the
Oounty Health Unit.
There being no further business, Mr. Eckles
moved to adjourn, which motion was seconded by Mr. Argo and
carried, said meeting adjourning at 9:50 p. M.
