Minutes of a regular meeting of City Counoil held Deoember 2nd 1941. The Counoil was oalled to order by Chairman ijigelow at 7~30 P. Y. Counoilmen present Chairman Bigelow, Minor, Eokles, Argp and Bryan Absent none: Oity Attorney, MaY~~, and~Clerk present, Marshal absent. Minutes of last regnlar meeting read and approved, held November l7th 1941. BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS: Mr. Argo made motion to pay bills as read and approved as follows: Roy Phiplips $25.00 salary to December lst; Florida Publio Servia~,Co, Pump' bill $28.20 to November 4th 1941; Interest to First Nationa Bank Winter Garden $1.00; Akerman, Akerman and McEwan $8.33 for Ootober services and $lO.OO for November servioes and $14.00 Interest to State Bank of Apppka, 41so in this motion Was to oover the renewal notes of $30.00 to Pounds Motor Company for ninety days whioh was due November 26th and $350.00 note to State Hank of Apopka for ninety days, Mr. Eckles seoond the motion, voted and carried. Mr. 4rgo moved to table Ordinanoe presented by fire ohief to next meeting, seoonded by Minor, Voted and oarried. The Counoil insisted that the Sanitary ordinance and la~s be inforced by marshal. Mr. ~ckles moved to set a xate of $7.50 per year License tax for all paoking houses in Oooee, which are Norma Fruit Corp. W. D. Pease and J. D. Cox, motion seoonded by Mr. Bryan, voted and oarried. Mr. Argo made motion that the marshal to fix hole in street at oorner of ~vomans. Olub building, motio n:.:. seoond:....byUMr. Eokles, voted/and oarr ied. Mr. ~'gro moved to refer the fixing the bridge at West end o~ Oakland Ave to Mr. Eokles for repairs, seoond Mr. Bryan, voted and oarried. Mr. Agr~ moved to disoontinue the boy oleaning up lot after show Saturday nights, and that. the marshal oontinue this work himself, seoond Mr. Eokles voted and oarried. Mr. Argo made motion that Mr. BigeloW and Mr. Eokles be appointed to inves- tigate about the Post Offioe rent with idea of seeing about getting more rent, motion seoond by Mr. Bryan, voted and carried. Chairman Bigelow re-appointed the men head of eaoh deR~rtment of the Town. Olerk was instruoted to write Mrs. W. A. Patriok at S ~ d in oonneotion with the lot South of this building about cleaning itaap~r are Argo moved to hold baok all rent oo11eoted from the Post Offioe for the maintenanoe of the building, ,and not allow it to get into the general funds. Seoond Mr Bryan, voted and oarried. Mr. Bryan moved to order 2 polioe badges and one fire ohief badge at $1.60 eaoh, motion seoonded Mr. Minor, VDted and carried. e There being no further business, Mr. Eokles moved second ~~.
