Minutes of a regular meeting of City Council held January 19th 1942.
The Counoil Was call~d to order by President Bigelow at 7:15 P.M.
Councilmen present: President Bigelow; Minor; Eckles; argo and Bryan.
Mayor, Oity Att~rney, Clerk and Marshal present.
Mr. ~rgo made motion to approve minutes of last regular meeting held
January 5th 1942 and that those minutes be olosed, voted and carried.
Mr. Bryan moved to have bills paid as read except the $2.25 pumping bill,
the bills are as follows: Florida Telephone Corp. ~4.78 f~r ~anuary rent
and tolls; Florida Public Service Company $12.50 street lights and $1.66
Council room lights,and $1.50 for Oommunity Center. the motinn was to
inolude the disoontinueing the lights for 1he Communmty uent~~ as of
February 1st 1942, motion seconded by Mr. Aokles. voted and oarrted.
Mr. Argo made motion that the Ohairman and Clerk to draft a letter to be
written Harry P. Leu, Ino., and other oreditors that ~urcondition and
situation remains the same. Motion seoond Mr. Eokles, voted and carried.
Mr. Bryan made motion to pay the out of State Bill, being that of the
JoutherMeter and repair C~mpany of $40.65. the motion died" for laek ~f a

Mr. Bryan moved to adopt ordinance prepared by City Attorney pelAting~~o
National Emergency as read twioe in this meeting, mot~on was eeoonded by
Mr. ~rgo, voted and oarried. the copies of 0r~inance be posted in three plac
Mr. ~rgo made motion that the marshal take those names of wa~er customers
cheoked from list and to either oolleot the ?mter rent of to cut .off water
servioe. and to report his colleotions at a meeting to be held ]~iday night
January 23rd at 7:00 oolook. or the Council will see about getting another
Marshal, motion was seconded by Mr. Bryan. voted and oarried.

After a legghtly disoussion on the Blaok-outs, the Counoil suggested that
the wardens and their oommittees be present at the meeting Friday night
January 23rd at 7:00.
