MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL, JULY 27th 1942, OCOEE, FLORIDA
A reoessed meeting of the City Counoil was oalled to or-
der by Chairman Bigelow at 8:30 P. M., said meeting being a reoessed
meeting held July 20th, 1942. .
Present: Counoilman Bigelow, Argo, Bryan and Eokles;

Absent: Oouncilman Minor.

Mr. Argo offered a motion to ,aooept the original
and oopy of the 1942 tax assessment roll whioh had been prepared
by the Tax Assessor and offered for equilization at previous meet-
ings, Ihis motion was duly seoonded by Mr. Bryan, after original
and OOpy of the assessment roll WaS examined by the Counoil, said
motion was duly voted upon and oarried unanimously, and a Certifi~ate
of Acceptanoe was signed by all present, inoluding the MaYOr and U1erk.
Mr. Bryan then offered an ordnance entitled "AN ORDINANCE
ASCERTAINING THE AMOUNT NECESSARY TO OPERATE THE CITY 0]1 OOOEE, :blLfJRIDA,
roR THE TAX YEAR BEGIN.NING ON NOVEMBER 1, 1941, AND 'ENDING ON OCT0BER
31st, 1942,. (which ordinanoe, if-adopted, will beoome City of Oooee
Ordinance 10. 62). This proposed ordinanoe was then seoonded by Mr.
Bokles, examined, disoussed, voted upon, and unanimously oarried.
Mr. Bryan then offered an oudinance entitled "AN nRDINAllCE
FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY OIl' OCOEE, FLORIDA '. FOR THE
TAX YEAR BEGINNING NOmmER 1, 1941, AND ENDING OCTOBER 31, 1942,"
(!hioh ordinanoe, if adopted, will beoome-Uity of Ocnee Ordinance No.
01). This proposed ordinance was then seoonded by Mr. Eckles, examined,
'disoussed, voted upon, and passed.
Mr. ~go the offered an ordinanoe entitled "AN nRDINANCE
LEVYING TAXES ('IF TEE CITY ('1]1 OOOEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE TAX YEAR BEGINNING
NOVEMBER 1, 1941, AND ENDING OCTOBER 31, 1942,. (whiohordinance, if
adopeed, will become City of Ocoee Ordinanoe No. 64). ~bis proposed
ordinanoe was then seoonded by Mr. Bryan, examined, disoussed, voted
upon, and unanimouslu oarried.
Mr. Argo then offered an ordinanoe entitled"AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING AND ALLOCATING ALL REVENUE AND FUNDS OF THE CITY OB' OCOEE,
FLORIDA, FOR THE TAX YEAR BEGINNING. ON NOVEMBER, lst,1941, AND ENDING ON
nCTnBER 3l-st, 1942," (whioh ordinanoe, if adopted, will beoome City of
Oooee Ordinanoe No. 65). lnis proFosed ordinanoe was then seoonded by Mr.
~okles, examined, disoussed, voted upon, and unanimously oarried.

Mr. Argo made a mDti~n to set millage for the Lester Harris
Judgment of 10 mills or to pay $2,000.00. Motion Was seconded by Mr.
Ackles, voted and oarried.
There being no further qusiness, Mr. Argo made motion to adjorn,
and at 11:00 P.M. ~ by Mr. Eokles, voted and oar::ied.
