Minutes of a regular meeting of City Council held December 21st, 1942.
Meeting was 'called to order by Chair.man Farmer at 8;00 P. M.
Councilmen present: Farmer, Argo, Minor, Bryan and Whitaker. Absent:
None. City Attorney absent. Mayor, Clerk and Marshal present.
M~.nutes of last regular meeting held December 7th were read and approved.
rrwo letters from Mr. Akerman vvere read.
Mr. Bryan made motion to pay all current bills as read, with the excep-
tion of Mr. Akermans September retainer fee; bills are as follows:
Marshal salary to December 15th $20.00; Florida Public Service Company
)' ,.
i,~44.30 for lights and power to December 4th; Central Truck Lines 9.60
collect charges; 8nd $4.00 for fees of Mayors Court on Dan Heath case.
Motion seconded by Mr. Argo, voted and carried.
rl'he two letters from Mr. Akerman were reread and discussed.

Mr. Bryan ma&e motion to accept Mr. Akerman's proposition. Seconded by
Mr. Argo, voted end carried.
The Mayor reported that the note of $100 vvas due December 26th a t the
Bank of Apopka.
Mr. Argo made motion for the Clerk to pay interest and rene\'1 the note
when due. Motion seconded by Mr. Bryan, veted end carried.
rrhere wes a discussion as to what to do with the check of ~;;87.21 from
the Johnston property.
Mr. Argo made a Diotion for the Clerk to call Mr. Akerman and ask him to
C;i ve his opinioI)in wri tine) as to wha t disposition to make with the
chec~. Secondea by Mr. mritaker, voted and carried.
Mr. Argo made a motion to payoff the $100 mote, providing the check is
deposited in the General Fund. Seconded by 1tr. Bryan, voted and carried.
Mr. Bryan mede a report on getting the typewriter blank and typewriter.
The Council instructed the MDrshal to get some men to help cleannthe
streets.
The Council authorized Mr. Beeves the privilege of takine up the two
pine trees in the road in front of his house.

There being no fUrther business Mr. Bryan made motion to adjourn.
Seconded by Mr. Minor, voted and carried. Council adjourned at
9;20 P. M.
