WELCOME TOURIST Minutes of a regular meeting of City Council held January 3rd 1944~ Meeting called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:00 P. M. Councilmen Farmer, Fields, Minor, Slone and Whitaker present. Mayor, Olerk and Water Works Man present. Minutes of regular meeting of December 20th were read and approved. A letter from the Florida Pipe and Supply Co. was read by the Clerk. Mr. Whitaker made a motion to pay the following bills; Sam Oliver, salary as Water Works Man from December 15th 'through December 20th, $13.33; M. C. Bryan, salary as Water Works Man from December 20th to December 31st, $36.63; Clerk salary to December 31st $35.00; R. A. Kerr, work and materials, $10.85; W. C. Bishop, gas and oil, $7.65; Roy E. Burgess, printing City License books, $4.25; Florida Telephone Corp.~~/3; Winter Garden Hardware Co. $2.50 for valves; Mayors Court fees $4.00 and $15.00 to Florida Pipe and Supply Co. which is an old account. Motion seconded by Mr. Fields, voted and carried. Mr. Bryan gave a report as to what he had aone as Water Works Man since December 20th. Mr. Whitaker made a motion that Mr. Bryan be authorized to buy two shovels, Motion seconded byMr. Minor, voted and carried. Mr. Whitaker made ammotion to accept Ordinance No.76 which was an 'ordinance regulating the time and place of holding the Mayor's Court of the City of Ocoee. Motion was seconded by Mr. Fields, voted and carried. la. Fields made a motion to get paint and paint the streets for parking. Motion was seconded by Mr. Slone, voted and carried. Mr. Minor mad~ a motion to adopt Ordinance No.77 in regards to park- ing on McKey~ ~luford and Oakland Avenues. Motion seconded by Mr. Whitaker, voted and carried. Mr. Whitakar made a motion that l~. Rodgers contact Mr. Bourland to see if the County will work the streets and take the money from the City's Road and Bridge Fund. Motion seconded by Mr. Fields, voted and carried.
