Minutes ot a regular meeting ot City Council held March1st, 1943.
Meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Argo at 8:15 P. E.
Councilmen present: Argo, Bryan and Minor. Councilmen Farmer and
Whitaker absent. City Attorney absent. Mayor, Clerk and. Marshal
present.
Minutes ot last meeting held BFebruary 1st were read and approved.
Letters trom Thomas Lumber Co., Harry P. Leu, Walter Fuller and
R. F. Maguire were read and discussed.
Mr. Bryan made a motion to pay the following amounts (from General
Fund) on acoounts due:
Thomas Lumber Co. $25.00
Harry P. Leu 10.00
Bray Hardware Co. Bal. ot 6.73
Winter Garden Hardware Co. 25.00
Motion was seconded by Mr. Minor, ,voted and carried. The Clerk was
to ~ite each one a letter and tell them we will pay more on the
accounts when we can.
It was suggested to get Mr. Bigelow to help answer Walter Fuller's
letter.
Mr. Bryan made ~motion to approve the paYment of Marshal salary
to February 15t~ ~ri&~to pay all current bills as read and as follows:
Marshal ,salary to February 28th 820.00; Clerk salary.to February 28th
$25.00; Water express and postage stamps $1.77; Florida Pu~lic Service
Co. $42.20 for lights and power to February 3rd; Florida Telephone
Corp. $4.8lj8nd E. B. .Brown $'1119 tor gas and oil to March 1st.
Motion seconded by Mr. Minor,woted and carried.
Mr. Bryan made a motion that the Clerk write Mr. Maguire stating
that the Council was sorry but they couldn't grant his request but
if' he wanted to see turther into the matter to take it up with Mr.
Akerman and the Bond Company. Motion was seoonded by Mr. Minor,
voted and carried.
Mr. Bryan made a motion to pay a bill ot $33.31 due the Florida
Public Service Co. Motion seconded by Mr. Minor, voted and carried.
The Clerk was given the authority to have some water books printed
and 1000 water bills printed.
There being no turther business Mr. Minor made a motion to adjourn.
Seconded by Mr. Bryan, voted and carried. Council adjourned at
9:20 P. M.
