FLORI DA BEAUTIFUL LAKES GOOD FISHING GROUNDS WELCOME TOURIST Minutes of a regular meeting of Oity Council held June 21st 1943. Meeting called to order All Councilmen present. Jllu'sha1 present. Minutes of last regular by Chairman Farmer at 8:30 P. M. City Attorney absent. Mayor, Olerk and meeting held June 7th were read and approved. The Clerk read a letter from the Southern Meter and Repair Co. in regards to meters. Mr. Argo made a motion to file the letter and for the Marshal and water committee to make a report at the next meeting. Motion was seconded by Mr. Bryan, voted and carried. Mr. Bryan made a motion to paJ the bills as read and as follows: Marshal salary to June 15th $30.00; and Fla. Public Service Co. $49.90 power and lights to June 4th. Motion seconded by Mr. Argo, voted and carried. \ The Committee to investigate the water tank gave a report. Mr. Bryan reported on the oondition of the street in front of Mrs. Garvin I sand Mr .~.lIeeves I . He also reported on the condition of a tree at Mrs. Pounds and one at Mr. Masseys. Mr. Bryan made a motion that the Oity Council accept charges against the Mayor. Motion died for lack ofasecond. The Clerk read the charges against the Mayor. Mr. Argo made a motion to file the impeachment charges again~t the Mayor and that he appear June 28th at 8 Blc10ck before the Oounci1 for hearing. Motion was seconded by Mr. Whitaker, voted and carried. Papers for the Marshal to serve~~ers on t~e , y~re ~e d. The Oommittee appointed were Mr. Argo, Bryan and Whitaker. Mr. Argo made a motion for the Ohairman to appoint a Committee to get with the Lt. from the Ocoee Camp and talk over the Trailer ~ matter and report at next regular meeting. Motion was seconded by Mr. Whi take.!;, voted and carried. The Chairman appointed Mr. Argo and Mr. Bryan on the Committee. There being no further business Mr. Argo made a motion to recess until Monday, June 28th. Motion seconded by Mr. Bryan, voted and carried. Council recessed at 10:00 P. M. Attest: ~7n'!~ Clerk.
