Minutes of a regular meeting of City Council held March 6th 1944. Meeting called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:00 P. M. Councilmen Farmer, Fields, Slone and Whitaker present. Councilman Minor absent. Mayor, Clerk and Water Works Man present. Minutes of regular meeting held February 21st were read and approved. Mr. ~~itaker made a motion to approve the payment of $12.87 to the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad for H. T. H. and charges and to pay the following bills:--From Water Fuhd--State Bank of Apopka $2.09 for 250 checks; Water Works Man salary to February 29th' $30.00;Clerk salary to February 29th $31.50; W. C. Bishop, oil for pump, $.50; N. H. Maynard, , oil for p~p, $.50;--From General Fund--Florida Power Corporation, street and City Hall lights to February 4th, $14.00; w. C. Bishop, gas, $3.15; N. H. Maynard, gas and oil, $8.13; Clerk salary to February 29th $3.50; Water Works Man salary to February 29th $20.00; J. B. Rodgers, retainer fee from December 29th to February 29th, ~plO.OO; Mayors Court fees $4.00; Bowness Service Station, gas and box of patches, $1.60; and Florida Telephone Corp. January bill $1.64 and February bill $4.13. Motion was seconded by Mr. Slone, voted and carried. The list of names of those wishing City water was read. l~. Fields made a motion to run the water line to the houses around Mr. Fain's. Motion was seconded by Mr. Vfuitaker, voted and carried. Mr. Calhoun told about Lester Lee wanting the water line put across the road for him. It was decided to put the pipe across the road when the line is extended. The Clerk read the resignation of ta. J. B. Rodgers, City Attorney, as he leaves for the Navy March 22nd. e There being no further business W~. Whitaker made a motion to adjourn. Motion was seconded by l~. Fields, voted and carried.
