Minutes of a regular ~eeting of City Council held April 3rd 1944.
Meeting called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:30 P. M.
Councilmen Farmer, Minon, Slone and S~itaker present. Councilman
Fields absent. Mayor absent. Clerk and Water Works ~an present.
Minutes of regular meeting of Ma.rch 20th were read and approved.
The Clerk read a letter from Mr. $. M. Gay.
Mr. ~~itaker made a motion to approve the payment of $12.85 f~om the
Water Fund tothe Atlantic Coast Line Railroad for H. T. H. and charge~
and to pay the followinq bills:-From the Water Fund--Water Works Man
salary to Maxcb431st $30.00; Clerks salary to ?~rch 31st $31.50; Cas~
$1.60 for hose for clorinatorjlserman and Company $7.25 for material~-
-From the General Fund--Water Works Man salary to lvla.rch 31st ~p20.00;
Clerks salary to }~rch 31st $3.50; and Florida Telephone Corp. $4.1~
Motion was seconded by Mr. Slone, voted and carried.

l~. Bryan reported on the sanitary conditions of the town.
The Clerk read a letter from Mrs. Massey.
Hr. Vihi taker made a motion that Mr. Bryan contact Ii!!'. Cohoon or Mr.
Fishback and get them to check over the pmnp at the pump house.
Motion was seconded by Mr. Minor, voted and carried.
l~. Minor made a motion to table the matter of extending of the water
line indefinitely. Motion was seconded by Mr. Whitaker, voted and
carried.
Mr. Whitaker made a motion that the Clerk make up the Assessment roll
for 1944. Motion was seconded by Mr. Slone, voted and carried.
There being no further business Mr. Minor made a motion to adjourn.
Motion was seconded by Mr. Whitaker, voted and carried. Council
adjourned at 10:00 P. M.
