FLORIDA BEAUTIFUL LAKES GOOD FISHING GROUNDS WELCOME TOURIST e Minutes of a regular meeting of Oity Council held August 7th 1944. Meeting called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:30 P. M. Councilmen Farmer, Fields, Minor and Slone present. Councilman Whitaker absent. Mayor~ Clerk and Water Norks 1mn present. Minutes of regular meeting of July 17th were read and approved. Mr. Gray and l~. Lea, Attorneys for the Oity and the Bond Company, were present to discuss and present the new tax roll and other business to the Council. Mr. Gray and Mr. Lea recommended that no money be paid to l~. Harris on his mandamus as their opinion was that the writ vas void. VJ. Fields made a motion to approve the payment of $30.00 from the Water Fund for the Water Works I~n salary to July 31st and to pay the following bills:--From the Water Fund--Olerk salary to July 31st $31.50 Fla. Power Corp. pump bill to July 7th $29.95; 1000 postal cards $10.00 and Water express $2.01--From the General Fund--Water Works Man salary to July 31st $20.00; Clerk salary to July 31st $3.50; Fla. Power Corp. City Hall and street lights to July 7th $14.00; Fla. Telephone Corp. $4.31 and Postage $1~00. Motion was seconded by Mr. 310ne, voted and car,ried. The sanitary condition at one of Mr. MurrQY's houses was discussed. There being no further business Mr. Fields made a motion to recess until-Friday night at e:oo P. M.
