MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
MONDAY, MARCH 5, 1945.
Present: Councilmen Farmer, Fields, Minor, Slone and Whitaker
and Mayor Calhoun
Absent: None
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:20
P. M. and the minutes of last regular meeting held February
19, 1945 were. read and approved.
Councilman Whitaker made a motion to approve the payment of
the following bills:
(a) From the Wajerworks Fund:
Clerk's salary to 3-1-45
Waterworks man salary to 3-1-45
( b) From Gen~ral Fund:
$31.50
30.00
None
The motion to pay the' aforesaid bills from funds mentioned
above was seconded by Councilman Minor, and carried by a
vote of Council.
Mr. A. M. Clarke present to refresh the Council, and to bring
to their attention that he still owns the lot the fire house is
located, being Lot 2, of Mills addition, and can continue to use
the lot providing the City keeps the County taxes paid, the tax
are now past due in the amount of $1.38
Mr. R. J. Mobley present and asked the Council to revoke the
parking Ordinance in the block his store is now located on McKey
street. Councilman Slone made a motion that the Ordinance stay in
effect and be strictly inforced in full, motion was seconded by
Councilman Fields, voted upon by the Council and carried.
Council instructed the Clerk to post notice that all dogs will be
disposed of unless the owners have them inoculated and evidenced
thereto,.by having a tag attached to a collar by March 17,1945.
The question of the fire truck was discussed by the Council and
all others present. Mr. A. M. Clarke was appointed as a committee
to see Judge Smith about release enough funds to purchase a fire
truck. and to report back at next meeting.
There being no further business, Oouncilman Whitaker made a motion
that the meeting be adjorned. This motion was seconded by Councilman
Minor. Voted upon and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjorned at
9 : 45 P. M.
