The City Council of the City of Ocoee, Florida, met in
Special session at the City Hall, on May 11, 1945. The meeting was
called to order at ~:30 o'clock, P. M.., and the following members
were present:
C. J. Fa~mer, S. Z. Fields, John T. Minor
M. B. Slone and J. E. Vfuitaker
Absent: None
A quorum present.
A proposed resolution in typewritten form was introduced and
read in full by Councilman J. E. Whitaker, who moved its adopt~on. The
motion was seconded by Councilman S. Z. Fields that the resolution be
adopted. Thereupon, on roll call the vote to adopt said resolution
was as follows:

M. B. Slone and J. E. Whitaker

Thereupon the Council declared that said resolution was
adopted, which resolution reads in words and figures as follows:
A RESOLUTION Al~ENDING A PORTION OF SECTION 6 (b) OF THAT
RESOLUTION HERETOFORE ADOPTED ON MARCH 22, 1945.
WHEREAS, in section 6(b) of that resolution heretofore
adopted on March 22, 1945 authorizing the issuance of an issue of
Refunding Bonds (on approximately the fourth lihe from the last
part of said section) it was provided that the City would levy a tax
of not less than fifteen (15) mills on the dollar on all ~taxable
indebtedness of said City. .", and whereas the word ~indebtedness~
was an error and should have read "property~,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY ASSEMBLED:
Section 1. That portion of Section 6 (b) of the resolution
heretofore adopted by the city Council on March 22, 1945, authorizing
the issuance of an issue of Refunding Bonds, which reads in part as
follows:
~ . * shall not be less than fifteen (15) mills on the dol1ar
on all taxable indebtedness in the City · · "
be and the same is hereby amended to read:

" . . shall not be less than fifteen (15) mills on the
dollar on all taxable property in the City * *."
Section 2. All resolution or parts of resolutions in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and rescinded.

Section 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in Special session of the Oity Oouncil
of the Oity of Ocoee, Florida, this 11th day of May, A. D. L945.

Councilman Whitaker made a motion to send a statementoCity taxes
due by the American Machinery Corporation of Orlando, on a 20 mill
basis, motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, Voted and carried.
Coum ilman Whitaker made a motion. to mark the two Munic ipal Paving
Bonds, numbers 35 and 36 of $1,000.00. loaned to l~'. Joseph P. Lea
and returned to the City on May 11, 1945, be marked void and signed
by the Mayor. Councilman Fields seconded the motion, Voted upon by
the Council and carried.
Councilman Whitaker made a motion to pay Mr. Claude L. Gray $200.00
on account provided we can bu a fire truck, motion was seconded by
Councilman Fields, va.t'ed upon by the Council and Carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Minor made a motion that
the meeting be adjorned. This motion was seconded by Councilman Fields
