MINUTES OF A REGULAR ME~TING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
MONDAY, JUNE 4, 1945
Present: Councilman Farmer, Fields, Minor, Slone and Whitaker.
and 1myor Calhoun.
Absent: None
A quorwfl present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:30 P. M.
and the minutes of last regular meeting held May 21, 1945 were
read and approved.
Councilman Whitaker made a motion to approve the payment of the
following bills:
(a) From Waterworks Funds:
Clark's Salary to June 1, 1945
Waterworks Man salary to June 1, 1945
Cash paid out for office expense and Misse1laneouB
M. C. Bryan, bill rendered. June 4, 1945
H. M. Bowness, gas, oil and break fluid
Moore's Foundry & Machine Shop.
Iserman & Company, bill rendered June 1, 1945
W. M. Meeks, bill rendered April 8, 1944

(b) From General Funds:
None
The motion to pay aforesaid bills from funds mentioned above
was seconded by Councilman Fields, and carried by a vote of the
Council.
Councilman Minor made a motion to use valuation figures on the
Tavares & Gulf R. R. property leased to W. D. Pea.se for the years
1940 through 1943 as follows: Buil~ing $700.00, l~chinery $187.00,
Lot fp125.00. a.nd for the year 1944, Building $2500.00, Machinery
$1,000.00 and Lot $500.00. Motion was seconded by Councilman Whitaker,
voted upon by the Council and carried. .
Councilman Minor made a motion to have. Clerk to deposit the remaining
$31.70 in General Funds Checking account and write a check on General
Funds account for $232.80.for street work after storm .113.50, advance
to M. C. Bryan $85.00;Clerk & Inspectors $12.00; Mayor's Court fees
$16.00; Postage and light bulbs $6.30. By doing this, eliminates the
$264.50 heretofore carried as cash Qn hand for General Funds. ThBn to
$ake $200.00 out of Road and Bridge funds and 19'1-5 License collected
to replace the $200.00 taken from City Hall rent funds to pay on account
of Cla.ude L. Gray, Mot ion to this was seconded by Councilman Fields.
voted upon by the Council and carried.
Letter read to the Council from the Florida Power Corp. in connections
\"11th the increase in assessment of personal property from :$5,000.00 to
$11,500.00. The Clerk stated that he advised Mr. Cloud of Winter
Garden to. have the Florida Power Corp. to supply us with their true
value of their property for'the 1944 assessment. Council suggested to
await for their return before making another assessment.
There being no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion that
the meeting be adjorned. This morion was seconded by Councilmen Minor,
