AUGUST 20. 1945~ 127 Present: Councilman Farmer, Slone, Fields am Whitaker, and. Mayor Calhoun. ~sent: Councilman Minor. ~ quorum present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:30 P. M., and the fuinutes of the last regular meeting of August 6th 1945, and the minutes of the recessedAmeeting held August 9, 1945 were read and approved. Councilman Whitaker made a motion to approve the payment of the following bills: (a) From the Waterworks Fund: M. C. Bryan, reading meters and laying pipe C. G. Sanders, 7 days pumping water W. H. Calhoun, Sr. 3 days pumping water Florida Power Corp. pump bill to 8-6-45 Iserman & Co, for pipe (b) From General Funds: M. C. Brpan, credit on back pay of Marshal Lucille McDaniel, back pay as Clerk, 11 months Ernest LindseYi 3t hrs labor Lamar Moore, 32 hrs labor Buddie Styles, 3t hrs labor Marty Moore, 3 hrs labor C. G. Sanders, marshal fee, Howard case L. J. Lee, marshal fee on Brantley case w. H. Calhoun, Sr. Mayor's fee Brantley & Howard w. H. wurst, Clerk fees on Brantley & Boward cases Buster Calhoun, 3 hrs labor E. H. Johnson, 6 hrs labor Florida Power Corp. Street lights to 8-6-45 and City Hall lights to 8-6-45 Bowness Service Station, battery, gas & oil ; .: ;.Joiners~:!Auto Parts, starter exchange W. H. Councilman Whitaker made a motion to credit A. M. Clarke with one month water bill and two months for S. S. Lancaster and V. T. Murwin, motion was seconded by Councilman Fields,- voted upon and carried. i There being no further business, Councilman Viliitaker made a motion to recess this meeting until further notice as to when the Lawyers can be present to discuss and explain the refunding plan. This motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted upon and carried. Thereupon, the Council recessed at 9:45 P. M. ,. ATTEST: ~~ City Clerk. (h
