MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE~ FLORIDA] HELD
MONDAY ~ SEPTEMBER 3 ~ 1945
Present: Councilman Farmer~ Fie1ds~ Minor~ Slone and Whitaker~
and Mayor Calhoun.
Absent: None
A quroum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:30 p. M.,
and the minutes of last regular and special meetings held
August 20, and August 27, 1945 "were read and approved.
All Ordinances and resolutions as adopted and accepted at the
Special meeting held August 27, 1945 were reVi1ewed and accepted.
Letters read dated August 28th 1945, from Mr. R. C. Bigelow and
Mrs. J. B. Alford, asking that they be allowed the Vetensans
Exemption, Widows Exemption and also Homestead Exemptions~ same
as being allowed them by the County.
Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of the
follwdmg bills:
(a) From General Funds:
Marshal's aa1ary to 9-1-45
M. C. Bryan~ balande due on services as
Marshal from 2-15-44 to 2-9-45
J. w. Doss~ gas and oil
Buddie Styles, 7 hrs. labor
Lamar Moore, 4 hrs labor
Johnnie Akinson, 3 hrs labor
C. G. Sanders, 6 hrs reading meters
Leon Mask~ 3 hrs labor on chlorinator
R. w. Garvin~ 5 gallons gas
Texaco Service Station~ 1 fan belt
Lester Harris, payment on Judgment and int.-_
Postage Stamps
Oakland-Winter Garden Fire Fund to Oct.l~,
L. C. Oonrad, repairs to truck
L. C. Conrad, 1 battery
Clerk's salary to 9-1-45

The motion to pay the aforesaid bills from the fund above
mentioned was seconded by Councilman Minor, and carried-by
a vote of the Council.
There being no further business~ Councilman Whitaker made a
motion that the meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded
by Councilman Fields, voted upon and carried. Thereupon, the
Council adjourned at 10:15 P. M.
