Present: Councilman Farmer, Fields, Minor and Slone. and Mayor Calhoun. Absent: COuncilman ~~itaker. A quorum present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:15 P. M. and the minutes of last regular meeting of September 17, 1945. Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of the following bills: (a) From General Fund: D. M. Griggs, 25 hrs labor - Frank Bussell, 25 hrs labor D. M. Griggs, 40 hrs labor Frank Bussell, 40 hrs labor Oscar Shiver, 15 hrs labor Sol Bailey, 55 hrs labor H. M. Moore, marshal salary to 10-1-45 M. C. Bryan, setting meters Florida Power Corp. Power & Lights to 9-6-45 Winter Garden-Oakland Fire Eund, to 11-11-45 w. H .'W'urst , Clerk's salary to 10-1-45 Roy E. Burgess, printing office supplies. H. M. Moore, reimburse for tube repairs. R. J. Mobley, 2 shovels Texaco Service Station, 1 switbh S. Z. Fields, gas & oil L. L. Dudley, chmpping weeds at trailer park $12.50 12.50 20.00 20.00 7.50 27.50 60.00 3.00 38.55 20.84 100.00 31.40 1.50 3.50 .80 6.00 7.50 The motion to pay the aforesaid bills from the fund above mentioned was seconded bj Councilman Slone, and carried by a vote of the Council. Letter from the Seaboard Air Line Railway regarding state~ents of their taxes due on property leased to the Growers Fruit l:.and Produce Company, after discussion from the Council and the statements considered correct, the Clerk was authorized to answer letter. Capt. S. T. Salisbury and H. M. Daniela asked permission to clear up the ally back of their property for their use. The Council agreed to this, but that this property will always be the property of the City. Motion to this effect was made by Councilman Fields and was seconded by Councilman Minor, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion to give Mrs. Clara J. Aldrick perm- ission to use the lake front South of their property, to clean it up and put a small dock thereon. This motion was seconded by Councilman Minor. Voted and carried. ,- Fields Councilman/Made a motion to give Bud Owens a permit to build a contrete two story garage apartment on lots 5 and 6 Block "D" Marion Park to cost $1,500.00. also to give permit to E. H. Johnson to built a six room frame residence on lots 11 & 12 Block "0" Marion Park to cost $3,500.00. this motion was seconded by Councilman Slo~e, Voted and carried. . At this time the City registration books were revised, and ordered sixteen (16) names erased from the book. There being no further business, Oouncilman Fields made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded/by Oouncilman Minor, voted upon and carried.
