MI1~TES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 1946
Present: Councilman Farmer, Fields, Slone, Minor and vfuitaker,
and Mayor Clahoun.
Absent: None
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:00 P. M.
and the minutes of'last regular meeting held January 21, 1946
were read and approved.
Mr. H. R. Ca~pbell was present to discuss with the Council his bill
for plumbing work at the D. A. Reeves property on South Bluford Ave.
which was out of line, being in the amount of $27.00. after much
discussion, Mr. Campbell agreed to adjust his bill to $15.00.
Councilman Minor made a motion that Mr. Calhoun pay Mr. Campbell the
cash, and that t~e Clerk write a check to Mr. Calhoun to re-imburse
him. this motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted and carrie~
Councilman Vfuitaker made a motion to approve the payment of the
following bills, except that of Iserman bill for making a grill for
ditch:

The motion to pay the aforesaid bills from funds mentioned above
was seconded by Councilman Fields, and carried by a vote of Council.
Clerk read letter from Roper Bros, Inc., asking they be exempt from
fruther litigation mf they pay up back taxes on this ajusted basis
ori property they purchased from the Marshall Farms, Council advised
the Clerk to notify Roper Bros. that they will have to pay up just
as all others if they desire to pay. voted upon and carri,ed.
Two bids of $100.00 and $110.00 respectfully was turned in orally for
the City owned lot 30 x 60 in SW cor lot 18, blk 3, Town of Ocoee.
Council decided to have sign posted on lot for sealed bids, time limit
to be by the next regular meeting, February 18, 1946
Councilman Minor made a motion to reduce the assessments on Mrs. J. B.
Alford and M. C. Bryan property down equal to surrounding property for
the 1944 and 1945 rolls. This motion was seconded by Councilman Slone,
voted upon and carried.
Oouncilman ~~itaker made a motion to hire L. J. Lee to fill up hole on
N. Bluford Avenue at ditch, at rate of .75t per hour. this motion was
seconded by Councilman Slone, voted a.nd carried.

There being no further business, Councilman Whitaker made a motion
to adjourn this meeting. This motion was seconded by Councilman
Fields, Voted upon and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned
at 10:50 P. M.
