MINUTES OF 'I'HE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
MONDAY, Y~RCH 4, 1946.

Present: Councilman Farmer, Fields, Slone and Minor. and City Attorney.
Absent: Clincilman vVhitaker and Mayor Clshoun.
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:15 P. M.
and the minutes of last regular meeting held February 18, 1946. were
read and approved.
Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of the
following bills:
(a) From General Funds:
L. J. Lee, 6 dBYs marshal salary to 2-25-46 @$2.85 - -
V. M. Hagger, deputy fee, Foxhall case
L. J. Lee, Marshal fee, Bennett case
W. H. Wurst, Clerk's fee, Bennet & Foxhall cases
W. H. Calhoun, Mayor'S fee, Bennett & Foxhall cases
W. H. Wurst, Clerk'.s salary to March 1, 1946
L. J. Lee, Marshal salary to March 4, 1946
Henry Hays, 171 brs labor
Eamar Moore, 91 hrs lahor
Johnnie Adkison, 9i brs labor
Ernest Lindsey, 4 hrs labor
Oak]gnd-Winter Garden Fire Fund to Apr. 11, 1946
M. & M. .Welding Shop, repair pump
Winter Garden Lumber Co. Cement and sand
Cap Howell, 8 hrs reading meters and use of car

The motion to pay aforesaid bills from fund mentioned above, was
seconded by Councilman Minor, carried by a vote of the Council.
Letter from Mr. F. H. Maguire stating he would pay $50.00 for the
part of alley between his property, if the Council could give him a
good Deed. After the matter was discussed, Councilman Minor made a
motion if agreeable to Mrs. Myrtle Minor to open 7! feet on South of
her lot, and thBt Mr. Maguire open 7i feet on North &f his lot, then
close the 15 feet of alley West of the Maguire Iota, Provided when Mr.
Maguire has the property surveyed and his 7i feet does not come closer
to his house on the North side. This motion was seconded ~y Councilman
Slone, Voted and carried.
Councilman Minor made a motion that ~ll properties that t~xes and paving
or special assessments are not paid from 1944 and prior be turned over
to the City Attorney for foreclosure. This motion was seconded by
Councilman Fields, Voted upon and carried.
Councilman Slone made a motion that no checks be issured the Mayor, Clerk
and Marshal for fees on fines and for6eitures until the day after each
Council meetings on first an~ third Monday nights. This motion was seconde
d by Councilman Minor, Voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilrnan Minor made a motion to
adjourn this meeting. This motion was seconded by Councilman Fields,
voted upon and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 11:15 P. M.
