MINUTES OF TIlE REGULAR MEETING OF' THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
MONDAY, MARCH 18, 1946
Present: Councilman Farmer, Fields, Slone, Minor and ~bitaker,
Mayor Calhoun and City Attorney
Absent: None
A qUDrum present.
The Meeting was called to order by Chairman Farmer at 8:15 P. M. and
the minutes of last regular meeting held March 4, 1946 were read and
approved.
Councilman Minor made a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills:
(a) From General Funds:
Henry Hays, 28! hrs labor
L. J. Lee, marshal salary to 3-11-46
L. J. Lee, marshal fee Batey case
O. T. Upshaw, deputy fee, Betton case
C. J. Farmer, Jddge's fee,Batey & Battmn cases
W. H. Wurst, Clerk's fee, Batey & Batton cesex
W. H. Wurst, Clerk's salary to 3-15-46
Johnnie Adkison, 5! hrs labor
Lamar Moore, 5i hrs labor
L. J. Lee, marshal salary to 3-18-46
J. J. Robertson, 10! hrs driving truck,reading
Roy E. Burgess, 250 sets tax receipts
Howard Worsham, 50 hrs street repairs
M. G. Howard, Settlement of $250. loan, less
6500 brick @ .2! ~ each
J. B. Rodgers, Advance on Foreclosure suits

The motion to pay aforesaid bills from funds mentioned above, was
seconded by Councilman Slone, Carried by a vote of the Council.
Councilman Minor made a motion that the statement of taxes due by
E. C. Muire stand as is. this motion was seconded by Councilman
Slone, voted and carried.
Council~>>n Vfuitaker made a motion to advance a check for $100.00
City Attorney Rodgers to defray the filing fees on property to be
foreclosed on for non-payment of taxes and special assessments for
years 1944 and prior. This motion was seconded by Councilman Slone,
voted upon and carried. .
Councilman Whitaker made a motion to send M. G. Howard a check for
$87.50, being full settlement of a $250.00 loan, less 6500 brick at
.2!~ cents each. This motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted
upon and carried.
Councilman Minor made a motion to have the school to move the post
on South side of the school property back to the 60 foot street line,
-This motion was seconded by Councilman Slone, Voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion to
adjoun this meeting, This motion was seconded by Councilman Whitaker,
voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 11:35 P. M.
