MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
MONDAY, APRIL 15, 1946
Present: Councilman Farmer, Minor and Slone, and Mayor Calhoun
and City Attorney.
Absent: Councilman Fields and Whitaker
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Farmer at 9:15 P. M.,
and the minutes of last regular meeting of April 1, 1946 were read
and approved.
Councilman Slone made a motion to approve the payment of the
following bills:
(a) From General Fund:
L. J. Lee, Marshal fee, Doctor case 8.00
W. H. Calhoun, Mayor fee, Doctor case 1.00
W. H. Wurst, Clerk's fee, Doctor case 1.00
L. J. Lee, Salary to 4-8-46 20.00
Lamar Moore, 7 brs on truck 3.50
Buster Calhoun, 7 hrs on truck 3.50
W. H. Vfurst, Salary to 4-15-46 50.00
L. J. Lee, Salary to 4-15-46 20.00
Florida Telepho~ Corp. account in full to 3-10 143.02
James Porter, 62 brs on truck -46/ 3.25
J. B. Rodgers, Jr., accounts in full to 4-1-46 - 100.00
L. J. Lee, fee on Doctor,Lindsey,Bowden & Rushing
cases, less $5.00 on suit,27.00
Calhoun, fees on Doctor,Bowden & Rushing case, 3.00
Farmer, Judges fee, Lindsey case 1.00

The motion to pay the aforesaid bills from the fund above mentioned
was seconded by Councilman Minor, with the exception of J. J. Robertson
bill for $7.25 tables until next meeting. Voted upon and carried.
Councilman Minor made a motion to pay Mr. J. B. Rodgers, Jr., $100.00
for full settlement of all bills, fees etc. up to April 1, 1946.
This motion was seconded by Councilman Slone, Voted and carried.
Councilman Minor made a motion to charge 1% per month penalty on all
unpaid 1945 taxes, to commense with ~~y 1st . This motion was seconded
by Councilman Slone, voted and carried.
Councilman Minor made a motion to get Leon Mask and Andy h~rtin to
make bids to install automatic switch for water pump, This motion was
seconded by Councilman Slone, Voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Minor made a motion that
the meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded by Councilman Slone,
voted upon and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
