Present: Councilman Farmer, Fields, kinor, Slone and Whitaker. Mayor Calhoun anI City Attorney. I AbseJllt: None A quorum present. This meeting was a recessed meeting of the regular meeting held August 5, 1946. set to discuss further negotiations of our Bonded aebt. this meeting was at 8:00 P. M. Mr Rodgers stated that he has had severa.l conferences with the Crummer people, and that there was nothing we could do and have and answer from the Federal Judge before August 15th. .l~nd after a thorough discuss, it was decided to try for a loan with the First National Bank of Winter of $10,000.00 to retire at least $50,000.00 worth of certificates. before this meeting was recessed again, every member of the Council with sevral others present agreed to go on a note for the loan for a stated amount by each signor. When this was done, the Council authorized Mr. Rodgers to draw up the necessary papers to negotiate the loan and get the signatures of all that wish to co-orporate and meet with the Board at the First National Bank on August 13th. at 10:00 A. M. I There being no further business, Coun~ilman Fields made a motion to recess this meeting until Monday night August 12, This motion was seconded by Councilman Whitaker, voted and carried.
