A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Ohairman Farmer at 8:05 P. M.
and the minutes of last regular meeting of September 2, 1946 were
read a nd approved.
Councilman Fields made-a motion to approve the payment of the
folloWing bills; But to approve the payment of one-half of the
Rodgers and Kirkland Bill.
(a) Frem the General Fund:
A. I. Barker, marshal fee nn.twn cases
W. H. Calh",un, Mayor's fee ~n two cases
W. H. Wurst, Clerk's fee on two cases
A. I. Barker, cash paid out for paint, painting
signs and garbage hauling
A. I. Barker, marshal salary to 9-9-46
W. A. Barker, 7 days marshal salary @ $5.00, and
cash paid for 8 hrs lab",r on garbage truck
W. H. Wurst, Olerk's salary to 9-15-46
A. M. Clarke, refund for garbage service
Cash paid out, express on water samples
nrkland-Winter Garden Fire Fund to 10-11-46
c. R. Freeman, Gas, oil .and brake fluid
Rodgers & Kirkland, one-half of Bankruptcy fees

The motion to pay-aforesaid bills from the fund above mentioned
was seconded by Councilman Slone, carried by a voted of Counail.
Counailman ,1!'ields made a mot ion to adopt ordinance for sett ing speed
and wreakless driving, and this ordinance be effected upon its
teading the third time, ~his motion was seconded by Councilman Slone,
voted upon and aarri,ed.
Counoilman Fields made a motion to have Lyman Avenue from the ~outh
end to the North end, and that Mr. Calhoun see Me. Bourland about
the possibility of getting the Oounty road department do the work,
~~is motion was seconded by Councilman Slone, voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion that
'the meeting be adjourned until Monday night, September 30th for a
Speoial meeting. This motion was seaonded by C",uncilman Slone, Voted
and carried, thereupon, the Counoil adjourned at 10:05 P. M.
