I Absent: 00 unoilmen Farmer aol 'lb.i taker. I This meeting was oalled for the purpose of oanvasing the votes of the Regular City Eleotion held Novemb~r 6th 1946. ~his meeting was called to order by .Vice-Chairman Minor at 6:15 P. M. . I The Clerk read the results of the election from the tally sheets signed by the Clerk and inspectors of the Polls, results are as follow.: E. B. Brown 165 votes; M. c. Bryan 108 votes; barry M. Daniel 19 votes; Jaok Bamn 31 votes; John Tiger Minor 98 votes; J. E. Whitaker 52 votes; and C. O. Wright, Jr. 19 votes. ~hereupon, .Ei B. Brown, M. C. Bryan and John T. Minor being the three receiving I the highest namber of votes were elect Counoilmen for a term of two years. The total number of gates cast were 191, and one vote thrown out. Counoilman Slone made a motion to aooept Ithe above oount of votes. This motion was seconded by Counoilman Fields. Voted upon and oarried. The new Oounoilmen E. ~B. ,:,Brown, M. C. .BrJan and John T. Minor were sworn in by Mayor Calhoun. I . Counoilman ~rown made a motion to nominate Counoilman Bryan as Chairman of the vounoil, no other nominations, Co~noilman Slone seoonded the motion, voted upon and oarried. I Counoilman Minor made a motion to nominate Oouoi1man Brown as Vice- I Chairman, no other nominations, Counoilman Fields seoonded the motion, voted and carried. I Councilaman Brown made a motion.to put Councilman Minor on as water works oommittee, this motion was seconded by Counoilman j!'ields, voted upon and oarried. . ~here .being no further business, councilrkn Slone made a motion that the meeting be adjourned, This motion wa~ seoonded by Counoilman Fields, voted upon and oarried. thereupon, the Counoil adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
