MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CCOEE, :I!'LORIDA, HELD
MONDAY, JAlWARY 6, 1941-___
Present: Co~nc11men Brown, Bryan, Fields, Minor and Slone,
and Mayor Calhoun.
Absent: None

A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bryan at. 7:15 P. M. and
the minutes of last regular meeting held December 16, 1946 were read
and approved:
Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills:

A. I. Barker, cash for hauling cinders on streets
A. I. Barker, cash for hauling garbage 12-21-46
w. H. Wurst, Clerk's salary to 1-1-47

A. I. Barker, Marshal salary to 1-1-47
A. I. Barker, cash for hauling barbage 1-4-47
J. B. Rodgers, Jr., ~etainer for December 1946
Oakland-Winter Garden Fire Fund to 2-11-47
Florida Telephone Corp. bill to 12-10-46
Florida Power Oorp. power and lights to 12-5-46
O. R. Freeman, gas for truck
M. & M. Weiding Shop. repairs to water pump

The motion to pay aforesaid bills from funds above mentioned was second
by Councilman Brown, Voted upon and carried.
Oouncilman Slone made a motion to have weeds cut on lake shore drive
ourve new Joe Fairohild's residence, This motion was seconded by
Oouncilman Brown, voted and carried.
Counoilman.Brown made a motion to have the balance of the work done to
the Post Offic~ part of the C~ty Hall building, this motion was seconded
by Counoilman Slobe, voted and carried.
Mr. J. B. Rodgers present with his partner Mr. Kirkland, and discussed
with the Counoil his letter of November 26, 1946, and after much
discussion, Mr. Rod5ers stated he would continue on the $5.00 per month
retainer fee, and to receive fees for extra work done for the Counoil,
that he would stop by the ~lerk's offioe to read over the minutes, this
being a general understanding, and no motions made in this connection.
There being no further busipess, Counoilman Minor made a motion that the
meeting be adjourned, This motion was seconded by Councilman Brown, voted
upon and carried, thereupon, the Council adjourned at 9:10 P. M.
