Present: Councilman Bryan, Brown, Fields and Slone. Absent: Counoilman Minor and Mayor Calhoun. A quorum present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bryan at 7:30 P. M and the minutes of last regular meeting held July 28, 1947 were read and approved. Councilman Slone made a motion to approve the payment of the following bills: (.a) Erom General Fund: A. 1. Barker, marshal sal~ry to 8-1-47 $67.50 and cash fDr garbage hauling two weeks w. H. Wurst, Clerk's salary to 8-1-47 OaklandeWinter Garden Fire Fund to 8-11-47 M. O. Bryan, reimbursed for water pump oil A. I. Barker, Marshal fee, two cases & trip to Orlando O. L. Sanders, witness fee on Nelson case W. H. Calhoun, Mayor's fee on Hall case W. H. Wurst, Clerk's fee, Hall & Nelson cases M. C. Bryan. Judge's fee on Nelson case $75.50 50.00 20.84 10.00 6.00 2.00 1.00 2.00 1.00 (b)' From Utility Tax Aocount Layne-Atlantio Company, payment on water pump 100.00 The motion to pay aforesaid bills from the funds above mentioned was seconded by Councilman Fields, Voted and sarried. Counoilman Slone made a motion to pay the Layne-Atlantic Company $100.00 per month from the Utility Tax Fund, This motion was seconded by Councilman Brown, voted and carried. Counoilman Brown made a motion to add .15~' per month to all excluded property water users, beginning on.August 1st 1947. This motion was seconded by Counoilman Fields, voted upon and carried. . ( Counoilma.n Brown made a motion that the Clerk write a letter to the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad 00. to get the railroad crossing opened up on street running North from Joe ~airchilds. This motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, woted and carried. The matter of getting poison to ,kill hyasinths in Starke Lake was discussed, bllt no action was taken. There being no further bllsiness, Councilman Brown made a motion that the r.leet ing be adjourned.
