MINUTES Oli' ~HE REGULAR MEETIlm OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
__THRUSDAY, DECEMBER 18th, 1947
Present: Councilmen Asher, Brown, Minor and Wiggins.
Absent: Councilman Bryan and Mayor Owens.
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor rro-tem Brown at 7:30 P.M.
and the minutes of the last regular meeting of December 4, 1947 were
read and approved.
Counoilman Minor made a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills as soon ~s the money comes in:
(a) From ~eneral ~un~
C. G. Sanders, marshal salary to 12-15-47
w. H. Wurst, Clerk1s salary to 12-15-47
~ud Owens, Mayor's fee on eight cases
C. G. Sanders; Marshal's fee on seven cases
W. H. Wurst, Clerk1s fee on eight cases
Cash paid out, postage & garbage hauling
Oooee Grill, meals for prisoners
E. Willis, gas and oil and tnuck parts
Lester Harris, $375. on Judgment & $70.32 interest

The motion to pay aforesaid bills from the funds above mentioned
was seconded b~ Oouncilman wiggins, and carried by a vote of the
Uouncil.
Oounoilman.Minor rrade a motion to accept the Ordinance ~ertaining
the operations of Pool Rooms as read at this meeting to become
effecti~e at onoe. ~his morion was seconded by Oouncilman Asher,
and oarried by a vote of the Council. .
Oouncilman ~iggins made a motion to amend the ~rdinance Bo. 8 on
various changes as to the amounts to be charged for Occupational
License Tax co~encing Jsnuary 1, 1948. This motion was seconded
by Councilman minor, and carried by a vote of the Council.
Councilman ~'iggins made a motion to accept Ltesolution to advertise
for bids on'the p~rchase of Refunding Bonds according to the Plan
of Gomposition and to advertise in the Orlando Morning ~entinel and
the New York Bond Buyer. This motion was seconded by Councilman Min~,
and carried by a vote of the Uo~ncil.
Counoilman Asher made a motion to write a letter to the ~tate Road
Department to s~about fixing culvert in front of Gilliam's ~ew Grocery
store, this motion was seca.nded by Councilman Mina=', Voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Wiggins made a motion that
the meeting be adjoruned. This motion was seconded by Councilman Asher,
voted upon and carried. Thereupon. the Council adjourned at 9:30 P. M.
until January 2nd 1948.
