lUNUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNOIL O~' THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
THURSDAY, MARCH,4, 1948
Present: Councilman Asher, Brown, Bryan, Minor and Wiggins
and Mayor Owens.
Absent: None
A quorum present
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bryan at 7:30 P.M. and
the minutes of the last regular meeting held February 19, 1948
were read and approved.
Oouncilman Brown made. a motion to approve, the payment of the
following bills, except the $3.50 bill from Brooks Shell Station.

The motion to pay aforesaid bills from" fund above mentioned was
seconded by Councilman Asher, Oarried by a vote of the Council.
Councilman Brown made a motion to set Post Office rent at $25.00
per month to begin April 1st 1948, Thiscmotion wascseconded by Councilms
Minor, voted and carried.
Councilman Wiggins made a motion to write ~tate Road Department to
paint a line on curve at Drug Store and down center of street in front
of store, this motion was seconded by Councilman Brown, Voted and carri~
Councilman Brown made a motion to accept resignation of e. G. Sanders af
Marshal effeotive March 15, 1948. this motion was seconded by Wouncilmal
Wiggins, voted and carried.

Applications for 11arshal job from A. I. Barker and G. n. stephens we~e
read, and.an oral application from Mr. C. J. .l!'armer was turned by
Councilman Minor.
Councilman \,iggins made a motion that the Mayor be aut orized to hire
a Mar,shal on a temporary bas-.is, this motion was seconded by Councilman
Bwown, voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Brown made a motion that the
meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded by Councilrr~n ~iggins,
voted and oarried., Thereupon, the 60uncil adjollrned at 9:10 P.M.
