I I I MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD THURSDAY, JULY 1. 1948 143 Present: Councilman Asher, Brown, Bryan and Wiggins. Absent: Mayor Owens &: Councilman Minor. A quorum present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bryan at 8:00 P.M. and the minutes of the last regular meeting held June 17, 1948 were read and approved. Councilman Wiggins made a motion to approve the payment of the following bills: (a) From General Funds: G, W. Stephens, Marshal salary to 6-28-49 G. W. Stephens, marshal fee on six cases M. C. Bryan, Judge's fee on four cases W. H. Wurst, Clerk's fee on six cases W. H. Wurst, Clerk's salary to 7-1-48 Cash paid out, garbage and express charges Coggins Shell Service Station, gas &: repairs fire Gilliam Grocery, gas for fire dept. Florida Telephone Corp. bill to 6-10-48 Florida Power Corp. power &: Lights to 6-8-48 A. E. Flick, repairs to fire trucks Winter Garden Hardware Co. p~noi(or street dept. Johnnie Service Station, gas(ror tire dept. City of Winter Garden, for fire sirene . (b) Uti1itv Tax Layne-Atlantic Company, Balance due on water pump 58.50 12.00 4.00 6.00 50.00 8.51 dept. 7.51 14 . 61 5.09 73.23 . 20.00 1.00 10.75 75.00 111.70 The motion to pay aforesaid bills from funds above mentioned was seconded by Councilman Asher, vojed and carried. Councilman Wiggins made a motion to purchase fire sirene from City of Winter Garden for $75.00. This motion was seconded by Councilman Brown, voted and carried. Councilman Wiggins made a motion to hire' C. G. Sanders as Marshal on a temporary basis, aDd to cease at any time Council sees fit. ~his motion was seconded by Councilman lsher, voted and carried. Councilman Brown made a motion to turn all delinquent taxes over to City Attorney for collections or foreclosure, and for him to give Ten (10) days notice for payment to him, and afterwards to proceed to. foreclose at once. This motion was seconded by Councilman Wiggins, voted and carried. There being no further business, Councilman Brown made a motion that the meeting be adjourned.
