HINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
THURSDAY, IvIARCH 17. 1949
Present: Councilmen, Asher, Bryan, Murray,'Richbourg and Wiggins.
Also, Iqayor Owens
Absent: None
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bryan at-7:30 P. ~I. and
the minutes of thp. last regular meeting held March 3, 1949 were
read and approved.
Councilman Murray made a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills:
(a) From General Fund:
w. H. Wurst, Clerk to 3-15-49,
G. W. Stephen, Marshal to 3-15-49
Rodgers and Kirkland, advance on tax foreclosures
First National Bank, Chicago, Bond holders list
Cash paid out, garbage hauling ann street cleaning
Coggins Shell Station, gas, oil and grasing truck
Moore's Foundry, 6 water boxes & covers @ $4.50
Finley's Municipal & Supnly Co. 6 curb stops @$2.15
Henry Hays, 15 hrs labor on streets @ .60i .
(b) From Utility Tax Fund:

The motion to pay aforesaid bills from funds above mentioned wa.s
seconded by Councilman Wiggins, Voted upon and carried.
Councilman Richbourg made a motion to hire I..H. Davis for general
Ci ty work about Tm'ffi at $33'.00 per week for a five and one half (5~)
days for a week work. ThiR motion was seconded by Councilman Asher,
voted upon and carried.
Councilman Murray, made a motion to advance another $50.00 to Rodgers
and Kirkland to.finish up the cost of forclosure-of the past due taxes,
this motion was seconded b~ COuncilman Richbourg, voted upon and carried.
The Council agreed to set each-Thursday night, with the exceptioDR of the
regular Council meeting nights, for the purpose of reviewing the Tax
assessement roll book, and make any assessment changes where necessary,
and which will be used in the making up of the 1949 Tax Rolls. These
meeting are to convp.ne and adjourn until all assessements are revied
and the book completed.
There being no further business, Councilman Murray made a motion ,that
the meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded by Councilman Richbourg
voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 9:30 P.M. .
