Present: Councilmen Asher, Bryan, Murray, Richbourg and Wiggins, Also Mayor Owens. Absent: None A quorum present. :"'i The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bryan at'7:45 P.~1. and the minutes of th@ last regular meeting held April 7, 1949 were read and approved. Councilman Wiggins made a motion to approve the payment of the following bills~ , (a) From General Fund: 8.00 16.00 8.00 67.50 50.00 33.00 Bud Owens, Mayor's fee on 8 cases G. W. Stephen, Marshal's fee on 8 cases W. H. Wurst, Clerk's fee on 8 cases G. W. Stephens, Marshal's salary to 4-15-49 W. H. \'lurst,'Clerk'ssalayr to 4-15-49 J. L. George, labor on str~ets to'4-16-49 M. C. Bryan, Setting water meters, 1 jail blanket and lumber for street dept. 15.00 Shell Service Station, gas for dump truck 1.41 R. J. Mobley, materials for street dept. 7.96' Florida Telephone Corp. bill to 4-10-49 5.68 Cash paid out for garbage hauling 7.40 }1. & M. Welding Shop, materials & labor on Chlorinator-153.96 The Burgess Press, printtng~gffice supplies 25.10 (b) From Interest & Sinking Fund: The Crummer Company, $9,000. BOnds @ .50i and $500. Bond~ .@.48i - total $4,740.00. Plus interest from 1-1-49 to 4-14-49 @ 1% $27.18 - Total Ir,767.18 A motion to pay aforesaid bills from funds above mentioned was seconded by Councilman Asher, voted and carried. Councilman Murray made a motion to authorized the Mayor to purchase a John Deer tractor from the South Lake Citrus Growers Assn at a price around ~~350.00 to ~~400.00 or less if possible~ This motion was seconded by Councilman Richbourg, voted and carried. Councilman Wiggins made a motion to cease paying Rodgers and Kirkland the usual $5.00 per month as retainer fees and to re-deposit the $50.00 check payable to them dated Ivlarch 18th' 1949, bearingcneck No. 6064. This motion was seconded by Councilman Murr~, voted and carried. There being no further business, Councilman \viggins made a motion that the meeting be adjourned.
