Present: Councilmen Asher; Bryan, Murray, Richbourg and Wiggins, Also Mayor Owens. Absent: None A quorum present The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bryan at 8:00 P. M. and the minutes of the last regular meeting held May 5, 1949 were read and aDproved. Councilman Richbourg made a motion to approve the payment of the following bills: (a) General Fund: G. W. Stephen, marshal salary to 5-15-49 W. H. Wurst,'clerk salary to 5-15-49 J. L. George,'labor on streets to 5-14-49 G. W. Stephen, marshal fee on two cases Cash paid out, garbage hauling , Florida Power &orp. power & lights to 5-10-49 Finley Municipal Supply Co. 6 water meters George Stuart, Inc., liling cabinet & fillers 67~50 50~OO 36.00 4~OO 6~OO 78~89 60~OO 88.23 A motion to pay aforesaid bills from fund above'mentioned was seconded by Councilman Asher, voted and carried. . Council requested the Clerk to write Mrs. Seeley that the m~n~mum rate for water furnished to excluded property for 4000 gallons is $3.15 per month'. Councilman Murray made a motion that the Caerk write the Florida telephone Go. to extend their line across the railroad ann north along Lakewood Avenue as far aR necessary to accomodate the people in the Fains store section, this motion was seconded by Councilman Richbourg, voted and carried. In this motion was to find about getting a pay telephone station installed in the fire house. Council requested a petition be drafted to the Govenor to lift all rent control from all of Ocoee. There being no further business, Councilman Wiggins made a motion that ' the meeting be adjourried. This motion was seconded by Councilman'Murray, voted and carried.
