IvIINUTES OF THE REGILAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
THURSDAY, JUNE 2. 1949.
Present: Councilmen Asher, Bryan and Richbourg, also Mayor Owens.
Absent: Councilmen Murray and Wiggins.
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bryan at 8:00 P. M. and
the minutes of the last regular meeting held May 19, 1949 were read
and. approved.
Councilman Richbourg made a motion to approve the payment of the
following bills:
(a) General Funds:
J. L. George, street labor to 5-21-49
J. L. George, street labor to 5-28-49
W. H. Wurst, Clerk's salary to 6-1-49
M. C. Bryan, readin and setting water meters
Dees and Lee, gas and greasing
Florida Telephone Corp. bill to 5.10-49
Cash paid out, 2000 post cards and garbage hauling
Asher and Fairchild, settirrgwater meters
The Burgess Press, printing 200Pwater cards
Finley's Municipal Supply Co. repair 4 water meters
J. L. George, Street labor to 6-4-49
(b) Utility Tax Fund:

A motion to aforesaid bills from funds above mentioned was seconded
by Councilman Asher, voted and carried.
Letters from N. B. Broward and Florida Telephone C rp. read.

Councilman Asher made a motion to have protectiont covers and screens
made for both drain wells in Starke Lake, this motion w~s seconded
by Councilman Richbourg, voted ana carried.
Council !equested a letter be written to each water customer that is
oweinga back water bill, that they must pay in full to the Clerk by
June iL6th or water will be shut off, and $1.00 charged extra for
reconnecting.
There being no futher business, Councilman Richbourg made a motion that
the meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded by Councilman Asher,
voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 9:30 P. M.
