COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
, THURSDAY, CCTI.'BER 20. 191,,9.
Pre sent: C'ounc ilmen Asher, Bryan, Hurray, Richbourg and Wiggins,
Also Mayor Owens.
Absent: None.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bryan at 7:00 P. M. and
the minutes of the last regular meeting held October 6, 1949 were read
and approved.
Councilman Murray made a motionl to approve the payment of the following
bills.
(a) From General Fund:
Ferrell Wilsoni salary to 10-15-49
w. H. \'lurst, 8" erk to 10-15-49
Cash paid out, garbage hauling
The Burgess Press, printing tax forms
Asher and Fairchild, Water dept.
Florida '1'elephone Corp. bill to 10-10-49
Rodgers and Kir~land, accounts in full 9-30-49
Pounds Motor Co. Street Dept.

A motion to pay aforesaid bills from fund above mentioned was'
seconded by Councilman Richbourg, voted and carried.
Councilman Wiggins made a motion to accept the 1949 Tax Ordinance
as prepared by City Attorney Kirkland and presented to the Council
at this meeting. This motion was seconded by Councilman Murray,
voted and carried.
Councilman Murray mane a motion that the Clerk be instructed,to write
a letter to T. M. Colburn to move his tent out of the street, this,
motion was seconded by C~uncilman Asher, Voted and carried.
Coun~ilman Murray made a motion to get r~. W. G. Stevenson to make ~
acreen door apd bo repair screen' windows to the Post Office, this motion
was seconded by Councilman Asher, voted and carried.
The City election polls will open at 7:00 A. M. and close at 7:00 P. H.
on NOvember 1st 1949 for the' regular City Election.'

There being no furtherl Councilman Murray made a motion that ,the meeting
be adjourned. This'mot~on was seconded by,Councilman Wiggins, voted and
carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 9:10 P. M.
