~IINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
\IJEDNESDAY, MAY 24. 1950
Present: Councilmen, Bryan, Minor, Murray and Richbourg, & Mayor Owens
Apsent: Councilman Slom
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richbourg at 8:00 P.~. and
the minutes of last regular meeting held April 20, 1950 were read and
approved.

Councilman Murray made a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills:
(~) From General Fund:
Roy Jones, street labor through 5-13-50
w. H. Wurst, Clerk to 5-15-50
J. N. \vaters ,Police salary to 5f15-50
Henry Hays, M~rshal service for 3 weeks & fees
Roy Jones, street labor through 5-20-50
Cash paid out, garbage hauling
Odell Norris 32 hrs labor on street @ .j60~
J. T. Lindsey, 8! hrs labor on street @ .60i
J. N. Waters, 6 days police duty & fees
Florida ~ower Cbrp. power & lights to 5-9-50
Florida Te~ephone Co. bill to 5-l0~50
Dees and Lee}. gas and oil, street dept.
Nye Oil Co. Tire & tube, street d ept.
J. H. Fox, plumbing at_City Hall

A motion to pay aforesaid bills from funds above mentioned was seconded
by Councilman Minor, voted and carried.
Councilman Bryan made a motion to have the layne-Atlantic Co. about having
a booster pump put on for additional water pressure or install 6" water
main run a~ far as Gilliam's store. This motion was seconded by Councilman

Counclhlman Jvlurray made a minion to bu enough I!" water pipe to run to
Wendell Johnson's -'property, this motion was seconded by Councilman Murray,
voted and carried.
Councilman Bryan made a motion to accept the Mayor's appointment of Ferrel
Wilson as Marsh~l, Motion died for lack of second.
Councilman Murray made a motion to hire A. I. Barker as Marshall, this
motion was seconded by Councilman Minor. Upon a vote, Councilman Murray
and Minor voted AYE, Councilman Bryan voted NO. Chairman Richbourg did
not vote.
There being no further business, Councilman Jl1urray made a motion, that the
meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded by Councilman Bryan voted
and carri~d. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 9:35 P.M.
