MINUTES OF THE REGULAR l,lEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
FRIDAY, JUNE 2. 1950

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richbourg at 8: 00 P .1-1. and
the minutes of the Adjourned meeting held May 24, 1950 were read and
approved.
Councilman Murray made a motion to approve the payment of the following
b.ills:
(a) From General Fund:
Roy Jones, street labor through 5-27-50
State Bank of Apopka, payment on Chevrolet truck
W. H. ~,rst, Clerk to 6-1-50
.' . Bud Owens, mayor fee on 7 cases
W. H. Wurst, Clerk's fee on 7 cases
Roy Jones, street labor through 6-3-5Q
Ca~h paid out, office supplies $3.86 Liarbage hauling $9.
Rogers and Kirkland, conference .
Dess and Lee,'gas and oil, street dept.
Burgess Press, 500 envelopes'
Finley's Municipal Supply Co' 6'curb stops
Roy Jones, street labor through 6-10-50
(b) From Utility Tax Fund:

A motion to pay aforesaid bills from fmnds above mentioned was seconded
by Councilman Minor, voted and carried.
Councilman Murray made a-motion to hire-Mr. A. I. Barker as Marshal, this
Motion was seconded by Cnuncilman ~linor, Voted and carried. Councilman
Bryan voted NO.
Councilman Bryan made a motion to have a ditch cut from the Pea~ock property
to Lasseter house, this motion was seconded by Councilman Murray, voted and
carried.

The Cpuncil instructed Clerk to \~ite AttorJey General E~win for openion
if the Msyor sworn in by Notary Public each time since 1943 if he is legally
sworn in, if not should we have a special election', and who would be the
poper official to call such election.'Councilman made a motion to the effect
and was seconded by C~uncilman Murray, voted and carried.
Councilman Murray made a motion to adjorn the regular meeting set for each
3rd Friday of' each month and hold the regular meeting on each 1st Frmday of
each month. for the months of June, July, August and September, this motion,
was seconded by Councilman Minor, voted and carried.
Council instructed Clerk to write the Superintended tof the Atlantic Coast
Line Railroad Co. to have the street crossing at the Depot and the two
crossings immediately north of the depot, also to write the State Road
Department to have the oak limbs trimed from highway #50 from the south
City limits to the Drug Store.
There being no further business. Coun~ilman Bryan made a motion that thp.
meeting be adjorned. This motion was seconded by Cnuncilman Murray voted
and carried. Thereppon, the Council adjourned at 9:20 P. M.
