HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-18-1950 I I MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD FRIDAY, AUGUST 18 t 1950 Present: Councilmen Bryan, Murray and Slone, also Mayor Owens 247 Absent: Councilmen Minor and Richbourg. A quorum present. Councilman Bryan made a motion to appoint councilman Slone as acting Chairman, this motion was seconded by Councilman Murray, voted and carried. The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Slone at 8:00 P.M. and the minutes of last regular.meeting held July 7; 1950 were read and approved . .' ~ . ~ Councilman Murray made a motion to ~pprove payment of'the following bills, except that of the Orange County Road and Bridge Dept. $203.85. Councilman Murray made a motion to hire G. M. Stanley as Police at $150.00 per month, this motion was seconded by Councilman Bryan, voted and carried. councilma~ motion to rent A. J. Duncan ~pace on w' Oakland Avenue for his building at $5.00 per month, being the same space now rented to J. T. Carlisl~, to be Used as a drive-in Restaurant. this motion was seconded by Cbuncilman Bryan, voted and carried. Councilman Mutray made a motion to have l!" water line run to rear of C. G. Sanders \orQperty, this motion was seconded by Councilman Bryan, voted and carrled. '< 248 There being no further business, Councilman Bryan made a motion that the meeting be ,adjourned.
