MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
TUESDAY, MARCH 6. 1~51

Present: Councilmen Fields, Minor, and Pounds: Also Mayor Owens
Absent: Councilmen Murray and Slone.
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Minor at 7:30 P.M. and the
minutes of the last regular meeting held Fenruary 20, 1951 were read
and approved.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to approve the payment pf the following
bills:
(a) From General Funds:
Richard Bodiford, street labor through 2-24-51
P. M. Johns, marshal salary to 3-1-51
w. H. Wurst, Clerk salary to 3-1-51
State Bank of Apopka, payment on Chevrolet truck
Richard Bodiford, Street labor through 3-3-51
Oasb paid out, garbage hauling
R. J. Mobley, street dept.
Florida Power Corp. Power and Lights to 2-8-51
Florida Telephone Corp. bill to 2-10-51
Berryman Gulf Station, gas & oil street dept.
Winter Garden Hardware Co. Water dept.
Winter Garden Lumber Co. water dept.
Burgess Press, Traffic Books for police Dept.
W. H. Wurst Agency, Workemn's Compensation Insurance
Finley Municipal Supply Co. water dept.
Richard Bodiford, Street labor through 3-10-51
(b) From Utility Tax Fund
Dees and Lee, Gas for fire dept.
M. & M. Welding Shop
(c) From Cigarette Tax Fund:
Board of County C'ommissioners, 80' of 12" culvert

A motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds was seconded
by Councilman Fields, voted and carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion to write State Road Dept. at Cocoa to
get them to clean out ditches,. motion was seconded by Councilman
Pounds, voted and carried.
Council instructed Clerk to contact the Saine Company, Orlando pbout
running 6" water main on Taylor Streets and North Bluford Avenue.
Councilman Fields made a motion to have Clerk call Mr. Cloud of the
Florida Power Corp. about getting five extra street lights, motion was
seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. '
Councilman Pounds aade a motion be resolved that the Utility~Tax for
Fire Department as heretofore made be set aside for general sidewalk
purposes and street lights. Thos motion was seconded by Councilman Fields,
voted upon and carried.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to adopt the resolutions ,as drafted for
the Utility Tax Fund, the motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted
upon and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion that the
meeting, Qe adoourned. Thes motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted
and carried, thereupon, the Council adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
