MINUTES OF THE REGULAR I-TEETING ~F THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY UF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
TUESDAY, OCT0BER 16, 1951.
Present: Councilmen Fields, Minor, Murray, Pounds & Slohe.
Also Mayor Owens.

A. quorum pre sent.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Minor at ~:OO P.M. and the
minutes of the last regular meeting held October 2, 1951 were read and1
approved.
Councilman Slone made a motion to ~pprove the payment of the following
bills.

(a) From General Funds
Richard Bbdiford, street lahor through 10-13~51
C~sh paid out, street dept.
W. H. Wurst, Clerk salary to 10-15-51
Geo. H. Horton, marshal salary to 10-15-51
Florida Power Corp. power & Lights to 9-11-51
Berryman Service Station, gas and oil street dept.
Gulford Tire Co. tire repairs, street dept. ,
Orlando Armature Works, water dept.
Finley Municipal Supply Co. water dept.
Ferrell Wilson, police service, 5 days
Richard Bodiford, Street labor through 10-20-51

A motion to ~ay aforesaid' bills from above mentioned fund was seconded
by Counc ilman r~urray, voted and carried.
Much discussion was had about running water line to Roper Bros property,
Councilman Murray made a motion to have City Attorney draft an agreement
that the City to furnish water at a rate of $30.00 for a minimum of
40,000 gallons, and 15~ per thousand over ~O,OOO gallons, and to pay
$30.00 towards the instillation,. and that Roper Bros. will furnish the
pipe and and the City will lay it, the water rents to be applied ro
repay Roper Bros. until pipe is paid for and will be the property of
the City. This motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted and earri
ed
Councilman Murray made a motion to accept and sign the amended street
light contract with the Florida Power COrp. for the additional two
lights, making a total of 20 lights. this motion was seconded by
COuncilman Pounds. voted and carried.

There beeng no further business, Councilman Murray made a motion that
the Council be adjourned. rhis motlon was seconded by Councilman Slone,
voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 10:45 P.M.

COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD

Present: .Councilmen Minor, Pounds and Slone.
Absent: Councilmen Fields and Murray.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Minor at 11:00 A.M. for the,
purpose of setting time of opening and closing the Polls' for City Elec-
tion .November 6, 1951. and set next regular meeting of the Council.
Councilman Slone made a motion to open the Election polls at 7:00 A.M.
and close at 7:30 P.M. on November 6th 1951. this motion was seconded
by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried.

Councilman Slone made a motion to pospose the regular-Council
meeting Tuesday night November 6th to Wednesday night November
7th, ,and at the same meeting, that the COuncil canvas the vote
count or ,the November 6th Mayor and Council election, and to
install the winning candidates to their respective places. This
motion vias seconded by Councilman Pounds. voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Slone made a motion
the Council recess until Wednesday night. This motion was
seconded by Councilman Pounds. voted-and carried.
