HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-20-1951 I \ MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ~~ETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI1~ OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 1951 Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, '~, Murray and Pounds. 323 Absent: -NoHe~ A quorum present The meeting was called to order'by Chairman' Murray' at 7:30 P.M. and the minutes of last 'regular meeting, held November 7, and the resessed meeting held Novemver. 10, 1951' were read and approved. . Councilman P~unds made a motion to approve the payment of the following ~ilBS, except that of the Finley Municipal Supply Co. (a) From General Fund: George H. Horton, Police salary to 11-15-51 w. H. Wurst, Clerk salary to 11-15-51 Richard Bodiford, street labor throu~h 11-17-51 Cash paid out, $13.75 street labor, $6.50 postage Lenfestey Supply Cb. water dep.t Richard Bodiford, Street labor through 11-24-51 O. P. Peterson, 30 hrs street labor at .60~ 100.00 50.00 41.25 20.25 '2.80' 41.25 18.00 A motion to. pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds were seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion that Freeman get in touch with a tree surgeon and a few trees topped. this motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion that the Clerk get up the figures on the cost of the forclosure of the Lucious and Georgia Garvin property including all taxes due the City, and send them a bill. th~ motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. Councilman Freeman made a motion that the City Colicitor draw up all necessary papers and ordinances etc. to annex to the City the property of J. M. Grafton, being his garage and his adjoining lots that are now heingused by Youngblood & Son. This motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voued and carried. Councilman Pounds made a motion to accept the appropriations and tax ' . ordinance for the 1951 taxes. Motion seconded by Councilman Fields, voted~ and carried. CouDcilman Fields made a motion to advertize for bids on tractor and equipment suitable to our needs. motion seconded by Councilman Pounds voted and carried. Councilman Freeman made a motion to hire another man to to help Richard on the streets at the rate of .601- per hour. motion seconded by Councilman Pounds. voted and carried. There being no further business, Councilman Pounds made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried.
