MINU'TES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNWIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19. 1952

Present: ~ouncilmen Fields, Freeman, Murray, Minor and Pounds,
Also Mayor Salisbury.
Absent: None.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Murray at 8:00 P.M. and
the minutes of last regular meeting held January 15, 1952 were read and
approved.
Councilman Minor made a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills.
(a) From General Funds:
Sam T. Salisbury, Mayors fee on 16 cases
George H. Horton, Marshal fee on 16 cases
W. H. Wurst, Clerk fee on 16 cases
Cash paid out, $15. garbage hauling, $5. postage
and $4.00 street labor
Richard Bodiford, street labor through 2-9-52
W. H. Wurst, Clerk salary to 2-15-52
George H. Horton, police salary to 2-15-52
Richard Bodiford street labor through 2-16-52
Johnnies Service Station, Gas & Oil street dept.
D. J. Hall, Gas & Oil Street Dep.t
S. Z. Fields, Gas and oil, street dept.
Cash paid out, $7.50 garbage hauling, $12. St. Lbr.
C. Clark, gas & Oil, street dept.
Florida Power Corp. Power & Lights to 1-9-52
Florida Telephone Corp. bill to 1-10-52 ,

A motion to pay aforesaid bills from funds above mentioned was seconded
by COuncilman Freeman, voted and carried.
Council instructed the Clerk to call Finley Municipal Supply Co. for a
possible discount for a cash settlement of all bills, or send a check
for $250.00 to apply 'on account.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to have the necessary ordinances' be
drawn up by the City Attorney and present at next regular for acceptance
to put all City Employees under Social Security. This motion was seconded
by Councilman Fields, voted and carried.
Councilman Minor made a motion to get bids on ~utting up metal stair steps
to the fire house, and asked that Councilman F~elds look after it. this
motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted' and carried.
Councilman Minor made a motion to hire extra help to fix up lake front,
this motion was seconded by COuncilman Pounds, voted and carried.

There being no further business, Councilman Minor made a motion that
the meeting be-adjourned. This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds,
voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
