Absent: Councilman Murray. A quorum present The meeting was called to order by ~ice-Chairman Pounds at 8:00 P.M. and the minutes' of the last regular meeting held August 19, 1952 were read and approved;. Clerk read severai bond offerings, The Crummer Company bid being the lowest at' .76rf. plus ac:crued interest. Councilman Minor made a motion to buy the $3,000.00 of bonds at that price and allow two weeks for' them to secure another $1,000 bond, this motion was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of the following bdlls and to transfer $253.19 from Utility Tax Fund to the General fund account. C'a) From General 1 Fundl: W. ' At this time the C'ounci1 herd one complaint of the 1952 tax roLl1 assessment, being that of M. C. Bryan which his assessment was increased $100. on his; home and tenant house, no action was taken. Co"r en': ,',~ Councilman Freeman made a motion to aceept the 1952 tax rolls; as' is, this motion was' eedonded by Counctlman Minor, voted and carried. c6uncilmam Fields' made', a motion to have a street light installed at Mr. New. and L.L.Asher corner, motion was, seconded by COuncilman Freeman, V &. C. There being no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion that the' meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded by Councilman Minor,voted and carrie~.
