COUNCIL ,OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD TUESDAY, ~1ARCHi 3, 1953 Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, ~1inor, Murray and Pounds. Also Mayor Salisbury. Absent: None A quorum present. The m~eting was c:alled to order by Chairman Murray at 8:00 P.M. and the ml.nutes of last regular meeting held' February 17 1953 were read and approved. ' Councilman Minor made a motion to approve the payment of the following bilss: (a.) From General Fund: George H. Horton, police salary to 3-1-53 w. H. Wurst, Cler salary to 3-1-53 Ric:hard Bod~iford', street labor' throUgh 3-1-53 Board of County Commissioners, culvert for street Cash paid out, street dept. Florida Telephone Corp., bills to 2-10-53 Florida Power Corp. power and lights' to 2-10-53 Ocoee Christian Church, Street dept., sidewalk Woods Cabinet. Shop, street dept. Winter Garden Lbr Co., street dept. R. J. Councilman Minor ma:de' a motion to let Councilman Fields install a toilet and ~eptic tank at fire nouse', motion was seconded by Councilman PoundS', V. & Ca, ~J ' Councilman Freeman made a motion to pay Walker Cree'l and Harcbld Ivlaguire $100. each for the 22'00 man hours building the new fire truck, motion was sec'ond'ed by Gound.lman Fields, voted1 upon and carried'. Councilman Minor mane a motion that City Attorn~y be authorize~ to draw a bill to abolish present charter an d !TB;ke a new charter to be pass'ed on by next Legislature, Councilman Pounds see:onded the motion, voted and carriecf.
