The meeting vias' called to order by Chairman Jl.laguire" at 8:30 P.M. and the minutes, of the the last regular meeting he'ld July 7, 1953' were .read' and approved. Counilman Freeman made a motion to approbe the payment of the following bills: (~) From General Fund: Cash paid out, s~reet dept. D. A. Wa~ker, gaS' ,and oil for fire & street dept. Wood's Cabinet Shop, frame for city map George Stuart, Inc. tryewriter rental for tax rmlls Florida Telephone Corp. bills to 6-10-53 Ri~hard Bodifor~, street labor to 7-25-53 C. R. Freeman, street work, 47 hrs @ .85f Richard Rodiforill, street labor through 8-1-53 VI. H. "ofurst, Clerk ,salary to 8-1-53' George H. Horton, Police salary to 8-1-53 (b) From Interest & Sinking Fund~ The CruTnmer Co.! Fi\e $1,000. Interest & Sinking Fund, Loan to retire Bonds 29.631 23.43' 10.50 10.00 20.12 40.631 J9.95 40.63 61.56 98.50 4,058.89 126.65 1.75 30.63 18.58 A motion to pay aforesaid' bills from a- o-ove mentiora-ed funds' was' sec:onded' by Councilman Fields, voted and carried. Councilma'n Fields made a motion that the Clerk write the First Na"tiona>l Bank, Chicago, for a list of all bond holders from the last cx>upons paid, Motion was seconded by Courm'lman Free-man, v:oyed' and carr.ied. Councilman Fields made ~ motion to adopt a resolution authorizing the Mayor' and' Clerk to negotiate a loan with the State Bank of Apopka in the amount of $4140.00 to extend the water service lines by the Farm and Horne Machinery Co. of Orlando, to b~ repaid at the rate of $115.00 per month for )6 months including interest and if:' paid off before date due, the pro rata! interest will be credited to note. Also, to pledge the Utility Tax as further securi ty, Ivlotion WaJS seconded by Counc ilman Pounds, voted upon and carried!.
