OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELl))
THURSDAY, JANUARY 21, 1954
Present: Councilmen F'ields Maguire, Hinor and Pounds.
Absent: Councilman Freeman.
A quorum present
The mee.ting was called to order by Chairman J'.laguire alt 1: 00 P.M.
for the purpose of hireing a City Attorney.
After much discussions, Councilman Fields' made a' motion to hire ?~F
Spencer C. Cross' as City Attorney at $7.50 per moruth retainer fee,-'
and to let him move his office in the City Hall at no expense to
him. This motion was seconded by Councilman Minor', voted and carried:.
Councilman Fields made a.'motion that Attornev Cross make a settlement
with former City Attorney Benjamin T. Shuman" for all his services of
every nature and kind, and get a, release signed by him for a sum not
to exceed $250.00, and to get a letter of good will from him to the
City of Ocoee'. This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, Voted,
and caTried.
There heing no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion that
the meeting be adjourned. This motionl was seconded by Councilman Minor'
voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 2:0QI P.M.
