MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELTh
TUESDAY, JUNE 1. 1954
Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Maguire, Minor and Poumds.
Absent: Mayor Salisbury,
. A ~uorum present.
The meeting was called to order by YJice-Chairman Fielda at 8:00 P.M.
and the minutes of last regular meeting held May 18, 1954 were read and
approved
Councilman Freeman mane a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills'
(a) From General Fund:
~ash paid out, $2. postage, $11.25 Streets, $3.73 water
Harold D. Maguire, fees
W. H. Wurst, fees,
Florida Telephone Corp. $15.22 Poice, $7.70 office
S. Z. Fields, water dept.

A motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds was
seconded by Councilman Minor, voted and carried.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to pay for the venetian blinds oE $30.00
for the City Attorney's office, motion wa1s seconded by COuncilman; Minor'
voted and carried.
Councilman Freeman made a motioru to purchase 25 loads of clay from the
Counciy @ $1.75 per load, this motion was sec::onded by Councilman Minor
voted and carried.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to accept the petition with intentions
to annex the property of E. T. and Isabell Bill i~to the ~ity, this
motion was seconded by COuncilman Minor,voted and carried.
At this time the City COuncil examined the tax roll for the year 1954
and made and increase in assessment from $50.00 to $100.00 on Lot 7,
Lakewiew ~ub, b~ing in the name of Betty F. Hager, Motion to this' eff~t
was made by Councilman Freeman, and was duly 5ec~nded by Councilman
Pounds, voted upon and carried.
Councilman Freeman made a motion to increase Police King's salary $20.00
per month, This motion died for lack of a second.

There being no further business, Councilman Pounds made a motion that
the meeting be recessed until Friday, June 4, 1954. This motion was
secoI'J.lded by Councilman Minor, voted and carr~ed. Thereupon, The C:ouncil
ree~ssed at 10:55 P.M.
