AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA
TO EXTEND THE TERRITORIAL AND MUNICIPAL LIMITS
TO ANNEX, PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTE 171.044
THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED LAND SITUATED AND BEING
IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND PETITIONED BY
WESCAR, INC., AGENT FOR LOUIS GEYS, OWNER; PRO-
VIDING FOR AND AUTHORIZING THE UPDATING OF OF-
FICIAL CITY MAPS; PROVIDING FOR DIRECTION OF
THE CITY CLERK; CONFLICTS; EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, WESCAR, INC. AGENT FOR LOUIS GEYS, OWNER, has petitioned the
City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida to annex the property located
at the S.W. corner of Silver Star Road and Clark Road, Orange County, Florida;
and
WHEREAS, Florida Statute 171.044 of the General Laws of Florida provides
that a municipal corporation may annex property into its corporate limits,
upon voluntary petition of the property owners and by passing and adopting a
non-emergency ordinance to annex said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida is desirous
of annexing and redefining the boundaries of the municipality to include the
subject property pursuant to Florida Statute 171.044.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
OCOEE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the following described property, being situated and in
Orange County, Florida totalling approximately 17.73 acres be and the same
is hereby annexed into the City of Ocoee, Florida, pursuant to the voluntary
annexation provisions of Chapter 171.044, Florida Statutes and other ap-
plicable laws.
Beginning at a point 40.00 feet S. 00031'26" W. of the
N.E. corner of the S.W. ~ of Section 16, Township 22 S.,
Range 28 E., Orange County, Florida, said point being
the intersection of the S. right-of-way of Silver Star
Road and the E. line of said S. W. ~; thence continue
S. 00031'26" W., along the E. line of said S. W. ~, a
distance of 1292.10 feet; thence S. 89023'27" W., a
distance of 592.19 feet; thence N.OOo08'38" E~., 11
distance of 1298.26 feet to a point on the S. right-of-
way line of Silver Star Road; thence W. 89059'23" E.,
along said S. right-of-way line, a distance of 600.71
feet to the point of beginning; also known as Tax
Parcel #9.
Section 2: That the corporate territorial limits of the City of Ocoee,
Florida are hereby redefined to include said land herein described and
annexed.
Section 3: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to update and
supplement official City maps of the City of Ocoee, Florida to include said
land herein described and annexed.
Section 4: That the land herein described and future inhabitants of the
land herein described shall be liable for all debts and obligations and be
subject to all species of taxation, laws, ordinances, and regulations of
the City of Ocoee, Florida and be entitled to the same privileges and
benefits as other areas of the City.
Section 5: That if any section or portion of a section or subsection
of this Ordinance proves to invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall
not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any
other section or subsection or part of this Ordinance.
Section 6: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 7: That this Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and
adoption, thereafter the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified
copy of the Ordinance with the Secretary of State of the State of Florida
and the appropriate agencies in and for Orange County, Florida.
