AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA
TO EXTEND ITS TERRITORIAL AND MUNICIPAL
LIMITS TO ANNEX, PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTE
171.044 THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED LANDS SIT-
UATED AND BEING IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
PROVIDING FOR AND AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT OF
THE OFFICIAL CITY ZONING LAND USE MAPS AND
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, PROVIDING DIRECTIONS
TO THE CITY CLERK: CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE
DATE.

WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee's boundaries are not uniformly
aligned; and,
WHEREAS, this misalignment causes continuing problems for law
enforcement agencies and medical rescue agencies working accidents;
and,
WHEREAS, the annexation of the road rights-of-way in the mis-
aligned property areas could largely solve these problems; and,
WHEREAS, this annexed road right-of-way, if adopted, will not
and cannot be used nor interpreted to allow contiguity of property
to the City boundaries in and of itself.
NOW, THEREFORE,
DE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Ocoee,
Florida, as follows:
SECTION ~: That the following described property, being sit-
uated in Orange County, Florida, be and the same is hereby annexed
to the City of Ocoee, Florida, pursuant to the voluntary annexa-
tion provisions of Chapter 171.044, Florida Statutes, and other
applicable laws.
From the SE corner of the NWt of Section 10,
Township 22 South, Range 28 East, run North
301feet, thence West 660 feet to Point of
Beginning; thence run further West 1,980 feet,
60 feet South, 1,980 feet East and 60 feet
North, to Point of Beginning, otherwise known
as A.D. Mims Road Right-of-way.
Also, using the SW corner of the NWt of Section
16, Township 22 South, Range 28 East as the
Point of Beginning, run 30 feet North, thence
997 feet East, 60 feet South, 997 feet West, and
30 feet North to Point of Beginnin~, otherwise
known as Silver Star Road Right-of-way.

Also, using the SE corner of the NEt of Section
17, Township 22 South, Range 28 East as the Point
of Beginning, run 30 feet North, thence 2,932.65
feet West following the curvature of Starke Lake,
thence 60 feet South, and 2,932.65 feet East, a-
gain following the lake shore, and 30 feet North
to Point of Beginning, otherwise kno~n as Silver
Star Road Right-of-way.
Also, from the West mid-section point of the NEt,
of Section 20, Township 22 South, Range 28 East,
run 666 feet East to Point of Beginning. Thence
run 1,940 feet further East, GO feet North, 1,940
feet West and 60 feet South to Point of Beginning,
otherwise known as White Road Right-of-way.
Also, from :.the West mid-section point of Section
21, Township 22 South, Range 28 East, run 1,290
feet North to Point of Beginning; thence run 990
feet East, 60 feet North, 990 feet West, and 60
feet South to Point of Beginning, otherwise known
as Orlando Avenue/White Road Right-of-way.
Also, using the NE corner of the NW! section of
Section 29, Township 22 South, Range 28 East as
the Point of Beginning; run 75 feet North, thence
1,327.18 feet West, 150 feet South, 1,327.18 feet
East and 75 feet North to Point of Beginning,
otherwise known as W. B. McGhee Road/State Road
50 right-of-way.

Also, using the East mid-section point of the
NW! section of Section 29, Township 22 South,
Range 28 East as the Point of Beginning, run
35 feet South, 112.5 feet West, 1,820 feet
Northwest, 60 feet East, 1,760 feet Southeast,
and 40 feet South to Point of Beginning, other-
wise known as Old Winter Garden Road Right-of-
way, (State Road 526).
Also, using the West mid-section point of the
NW! section of Section 18, Township 22 South,
Range 28 East as the Point of Beginning, run
30 feet North, thence 316 feet West, 60 feet
South, 1,134~4 feet East and 30 feet South to
Point of Beginning, otherwise known as Palm
Drive Road Right-of-way.

SECTION II~ That the corporate territorial limits of the
City of Ocoee, Florida, are hereby redefined to include said land
herein described and annexed.
SECTION III: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
amend, alter, and supplement the official City Zoning and Land
Use Maps and Comprehensive Land Use Plans of the City of Ocoee,
Florida, to include said land herein described and annexed.
SECTION IV: That the land herein described and future inhab-
itants of the land herein described shall be liable for all debts
and obligations and be subject to all species of taxation, laws,
ordinances and regulations of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and be
entitled to the same privileges and benefits as other areas of the
City.
SECTION V: That if any section or portion of a section or
subsection of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or
unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair
the validity, force or effect of any other section or portion of
a section or subsection or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION VI: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION VII: That this Ordinance shall take effect upon pas-
sage and adoption, thereafter the City Clerk is hereby directed to
file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Clerk of the Cir-
cuit Court in and for Orange County, Florida, and to file a certi-
fied copy with the Department of State of the State of Florida.
