Rnq SECOND READING Februarv 5, 1985 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, TO EXTEND THE TERRITORIAL AND MUNICIPAL LIMITS TO ANNEX, PUR- SUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTE 171.044THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED LAND SITUATED AND BEING IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA OWNED AND PETITIONED BY GEORGE C. JOHNS: PROVIDING FOR AND AUTHORIZ- ING THE AMENDMENT OF OFFICIAL CITY ZONING LAND USE MAPS AND COMPREHEN- SIVE LAND USE PLANS: PROVIDING DIREC- TION OF CITY CLERK: CONFLICTS: EF- FECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, George C. Johns has petitioned the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida, to annex the property located on Adair Street in Orange County, Florida; and WHEREAS, Florida Statute 171.044 of the General Laws of Florida provides that a municipal corporation may annex property into its corporate limits, upon voluntary petition of the owners by passing and adopting a non-emergency ordinance to annex said property; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida, is desirous of annexing and redefining the boundaries of the municipality to include the subject property pursuant to Florida statutes 171.044. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida as follows: SECTION I: That the following described property, being situated ln Orange County,Florida, totalling approximately 4 (four) acres, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Ocoee, Florida, pursuant to the voluntary annexation provisions of Chapter 171.044, Florida Statutes, and other applicable laws. SECTION 8, TOWNSHIP 22 SOUTH, RANGE 28 EAST Beginning 325.2 feet south of Northwest corner of Southwest \ of Northeast \ for point of beginning, Run South 295.2 feet; East 590.4 feet, North 295.2 feet, West 590.4 feet to point of beginning. SECTION II: That the corporate territorial limits of the City of Ocoee, Florida, are hereby redefined to include said land herein described and annexed. SECTION III: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to amend, alter, and supplement the official City zoning and land use maps and comprehensive land use plans of the City of Ocoee, Florida, to include said land herein described and annexed. SECTION IV: That the land herein described and future in- habitants of the land herein described shall be liable for all debts and obligations and be subject to all species of taxation, laws, ordinances and regulations of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and be entitled to the same privileges and benefits as other areas of the City. ~. :"':?;-":e'e; f'oL:! ~ "J: -. r.... ::: .._.........:.~rf I"rd. SECTION VI: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances In conflict herewith are hereby repealed. e SECTION VII: That this Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and adoption, thereafter the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified copy of the Ordinance with the Clerk of Circuit Court in and for Orange County, Florida, and to file a certified copy with the Department of State of the State of Florida. --1 .
