HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 798 FIRST READING: November 6, 1984 SECOND READING: December 4, 1984 ORDINANCE NO. 798 -- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISSOLVING A BOARD KNOWN AS THE FIRE G BUILDING TRADES BOARD OF THE CITY OF OCOEE AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECT- IVE DATE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee established a Fire and Building Trades Board by Ordinance on February 1, 1977; and WHEREAS, the City Commission established a Code Enforcement Boar'd by Ordinance on June 16, 1981, Ordinance #741 that encompasses all powers and duties as was directed of the Fire and Building Trades Board, NOW THEREFORE; SECTION 1: Pursuant to the authority of the City Commission under the City Charter, Article II, Section 1-49, the City Commission does repeal Ordinance #642 and hereby dissolves the Fire and Build- ing Trades Board of the City of Ocoee and relieves the board members of any further duties and powers previously given. SECTION 2: All special acts, ordinances, resolutions or interpretations in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and amended to delete that portion of said codes establishing the Fire and Building Trades Board of the City of Ocoee. SECTION 3: That if any section or portion of a section or subsection of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitution- al, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or portion of a section or subsection or part of this Ordinance. SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances lD conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall take effect imnediately upon passage and adoption.
